If you want to delete the Empower app and stop future charges, the key is to cancel your subscription first, repay any outstanding balance, and then request account deletion.
Cancel your Empower membership first
To avoid another charge, cancel before your next billing date. You can do this in the app under Billing, or by contacting help@tilt.com for cancellation help.
Repay any cash advance balance
If you still owe money on a cash advance, Empower may try to withdraw the remaining amount from your linked bank account. Make sure the balance is fully repaid before moving on.
Request account deletion
After canceling and clearing any balance, submit Empower’s account deletion form to remove your account and associated data. Deleting the app from your phone alone will not stop billing.
Close your Empower cash account separately
If you also use an Empower Personal Cash account, close that account on its own. First withdraw your full balance, cancel any recurring transfers, and download any statements you want to keep. Then open the Cash account, go to Manage Account, and select Close Account.
Billing and support details
Empower charges an $8 monthly subscription fee after a 14-day free trial. If you are unsure when your next billing cycle starts, cancel as soon as possible to reduce the risk of another charge. For help with cancellation or deletion, you can contact support@tilt.com or help@tilt.com.
In short, cancel your membership, repay any remaining balance, and submit the deletion request to fully remove your Empower account and avoid future payments.
