If you want to stop using Chime SpotMe, the easiest option is to disable it directly in the Chime app. That turns off the feature going forward, so new transactions will no longer use SpotMe coverage.
Fastest way to disable Chime SpotMe
- Open the Chime app: Sign in to your account and go to the main dashboard.
- Go to Profile: Tap your profile area to access account settings.
- Select SpotMe: Find the SpotMe section in your profile options.
- Manage SpotMe accounts: Open the management screen for SpotMe settings.
- Turn SpotMe off: Toggle the feature off and follow any prompts to confirm.
SpotMe for Credit
If you use SpotMe for Credit, you should turn that off separately from the Settings page. This helps make sure both SpotMe features are disabled.
What happens after you turn it off
Turning SpotMe off prevents Chime from approving qualifying transactions that would have used SpotMe coverage. There is no separate cancellation process for the feature, and any remaining SpotMe for Credit balance may be collected automatically from available funds in your Chime Checking Account or related account.
Timing and re-enrollment
There is no billing cycle or renewal date to worry about for SpotMe, so you do not need to cancel before a specific deadline. If you turn it off now, you may be able to re-enroll later as long as you still meet Chime’s eligibility requirements.
In short, the simplest way to delete or disable Chime SpotMe is to turn it off inside the app, and you can usually turn it back on later if you remain eligible.
