If you want EarnIn off your phone or want to stop future payments, there are a few different steps to take depending on what you need. Deleting the app is quick, but it does not close your account or cancel any scheduled debits.
Delete the EarnIn app
You can remove the app from your device in just a few seconds.
- On iPhone: Press and hold the EarnIn app, tap "Remove App," then tap "Delete App."
- On Android: Go to "Settings" > "Applications and Permissions" > "App Manager" > "EarnIn" > "Uninstall" > "OK."
- Remember the difference: Deleting the app only removes it from your phone. It does not cancel your EarnIn account or stop future payments.
Stop future EarnIn payments
If you want EarnIn to stop taking payments, you need to close your account and, if necessary, revoke authorization before the next scheduled transaction.
- Open the app: Launch EarnIn on your phone.
- Go to account settings: Tap the menu icon in the lower-right corner, then select "Settings" and your profile.
- Close your account: Tap "Close My Account" and follow the prompts to finish the process.
Timing and pending debits
Timing matters if a payment is already scheduled or being processed. Contact EarnIn at least three business days before the debit date if you want the best chance of stopping it.
- Use in-app chat: Reach out to EarnIn support through the app as soon as possible.
- Email support: Send a message to care@earnin.com before the scheduled transaction.
- Watch for pending payments: If a debit has already been sent for processing, canceling may not stop it, and you may still need to repay the amount if it goes through.
Good to know
A few extra details are worth keeping in mind before you close your account.
- Account closure is permanent: Once your EarnIn account is closed, it cannot be reopened.
- Confirmation should arrive by email: You should receive an email confirming that your account has been closed.
- Special account types may need extra help: Early Pay and Live Pay customers may need to contact support to permanently close the deposit account.
Deleting the app is easy, but it does not end your relationship with EarnIn. To stop payments for good, close your account and contact support in time if a debit is already scheduled.
