If you've decided to part ways with the Cleo app, follow these steps to cancel your subscription, delete your account, and remove the app from your device.

Cancel Your Cleo Subscription

To prevent future charges, cancel your Cleo subscription before deleting the app.

  1. Open the Cleo App: Launch the app on your device.
  2. Start a Chat: Tap the chat icon to initiate a conversation with Cleo.
  3. Type "cancel": Enter the word "cancel" in the chat window.
  4. Follow Prompts: Answer Cleo's questions to confirm your cancellation without interruption.
  5. Select Unsubscribe: Choose the Unsubscribe option when it appears.
  6. Check Confirmation: Look for a confirmation email to ensure your subscription is cancelled.

Alternatively, you can cancel your subscription through your profile:

  1. Access Profile: Open your profile in the Cleo app.
  2. Go to Subscriptions: Select the Subscriptions option.
  3. Unsubscribe: Tap on Unsubscribe from Cleo Plus.

Settle Any Outstanding Balances

Before deleting your account, make sure to settle any outstanding balances.

  1. Repay Cash Advances: Ensure you repay any active cash advances on the scheduled date, even after cancelling your subscription.
  2. Withdraw Savings: Transfer any remaining funds from your Cleo wallet back to your bank account.

Delete Your Cleo Account

After cancelling your subscription and settling any balances, follow these steps to delete your Cleo account:

  3. Select Your Details: Choose the Your Details option from the menu.

Remove the Cleo App from Your Device

With your subscription cancelled and account deleted, you can now remove the app from your device.

For iOS Devices:

  1. Press and Hold: Press and hold the Cleo app icon until it starts to wiggle.
  2. Delete App: Tap the "X" that appears on the icon.
  3. Confirm Deletion: Confirm that you want to delete the app.

For Android Devices:

  1. Open Settings: Go to your device's Settings.
  2. Select Apps: Choose Apps or Application Manager.
  3. Uninstall Cleo: Find and select Cleo, then tap Uninstall and confirm.

Important Notes

Once your account is deleted, any auto payments will stop, and your linked bank account will be unlinked automatically. If you cancel within one month of signing up and haven't requested a cash advance, you may be eligible for a refund of your subscription payment. Refunds can take up to four business days and will be returned to the card you used at signup. However, if it's been longer than a month since you signed up or you've requested a cash advance, you won't be eligible for a refund. You must repay any outstanding cash advances even after cancelling your subscription.
